Graduations Galore!

For some reason I feel like I should explain myself, or at least acknowledge the fact that I haven't blogged in like 6 weeks. Basically, I have just been lazy, blogging lazy. Yeah, no good reason here =). But there you have it. At least I realize it and can admit it.

Ok, now on to the good stuff. Spencer finished his first year of pre-school! He LOVED it! He went to a preschool that was part of a gymnastics facility, so not only did he learn his ABC's and 123's, but he learned some gymnastics and got some fun play time.

The kids put on a little graduation presentation with some songs and a gymnastics routine. It was the BEST thing ever!! (Mom's understand.) My sister, Alaina, happened to be there with us, and she told our mom that Dave and I sat on the edge of our seats, beaming, the whole time. And we were! I also was tearing up pretty much the whole time too. I was just so proud! The teacher gave them each a medal and flower lai, and said nice things about each kid. She said that Spencer was such a kind and polite boy, who always waited his turn. Awww!

Here are some pictures, and links for videos...

Spencer and his friend, Breanne, who happens to live across the street. Such cute little preschoolers!

This one is his favorite song. It's long, but he's so cute, and the squirrely kid next to him is also entertaining.

This is his gymnastics performance. He was one of the only kids who did the balance beam without help. (video is pretty short)

This is the teacher's comments about him. (also pretty short)

The afternoon after Spencer's "graduation," Alaina, Spencer, and I hopped in the car and drove to California for this dude's high school graduation:

My awesome "little" brother, Kyle, is off to BYU-I in the fall. He is the last of the Webb children to be out of the house, and my parents will now be empty nesters! WEIRD. As if I wasn't already feeling old. Kyle will be off on his mission sometime next winter. Again, WEIRD.

We had a BLAST in California! All of my sisters were there with their kids. None of the husbands came, cause they all had to work and stuff. But they were missed =). Spencer was in cousin heaven, and I barley saw him while we were there as he was playing all day.

It rained the entire day of the graduation...except for the 2 hours of the actual ceremony. Pretty lucky. Also, at the graduation ceremony, all us sisters tried to yell "You da man, little brothah!" when Kyle's name was announced...but he didn't hear us. We thought we were pretty clever and cool though.

Who doesn't love uncle Kyle? No one, that's who!

What a great grandpa

This is what Grandma Heaven looks like =).

Father and Son

Here are a couple of silly recent videos of Spencer and his Daddy. They have lots o' fun together.

The videos wouldn't upload onto blogger, which I am quite annoyed about. So I am posting the links to youtube. Enjoy! (p.s. the 2nd one is the best.)

Graduation Celebration

She did it! My little (but taller than me) sister graduated from BYU-Idaho with her Bachelor's degree in Illustration. Yeah, she's an artist, and she's awesome!

All the siblings were there in good old frigid Rexburg, Idaho for the ceremony and celebratory weekend. It was lots of fun to be together, and we're all so proud of Alaina!

Alaina and her boyfriend (ooh, la la), David, jumping for joy!

She had an art show at the Spori Building. Her focus is illustration for children. So for her final project she painted 10 pictures depicting other countries with the idea that they could be used in a children's book.
This is the one for the USA. If you want to see more of her work you can click on her blog "Alaina's Art" on my blog roll to the right =).

Happy Grandpa with 2 squirley grandsons.

My mom and her mom, my grandma Allen, with some of the kids. I hadn't seen my grandma or the aunts and uncles and cousins that live in Idaho for 2 years! So it was high time.

Mary and her kids came and stayed with us for a couple of days before we drove up to Idaho together. It was SO fun, and Spencer and Sam are still best friend cousins. Here we are at Temple Square in Salt Lake.

We all drove up to Idaho together...good thing it was only 4 hours away, and good thing for portable DVD players!

Easter

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He is the Savior of the world, and the son of God. He overcame death - temporal and spiritual - to provide the way for us to return to Him and our Father in Heaven. He is real. He lives. He loves us. He loves me.

One of my favorite scriptures: 2 Nephi 25:26, "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."

I wanted to make sure it was clear that I understand the true meaning of Easter before I got into the "fluff" part of Easter =).

Here is Spencer thoroughly enjoying his Easter basket full of goodies!

We had a nice day yesterday - full of candy, food, and family. And we were blessed to hear from the leaders of our church during General Conference. Spencer spent the better part of the day organizing and sorting his candy in his Easter eggs, over and over. Oh, don't worry, he ate a lot of it too. He also blew a lot of bubbles, and asked every 3 minutes if he could open his sidewalk chalk. (It snowed like 3 inches yesterday morning, so we didn't have a good opportunity to use the chalk outisde.) Dave's parents, his brother, and a friend from our ward came to our house for dinner. I made most of the meal, and was really pleased with the way it turned out, and I'm excited for the leftovers =).

My Happy Place

Spencer and I went to Disneyland!! Dave decided not to come with us at the last minute...cause he's a party pooper. Oh pooh! We went with my sister Mary and her family, my sister Alaina, and brother Kyle. My mom was also supposed to come, but she got a really bad flu and also couldn't come...so sad =(.

I LOVE Disneyland! It is my happy place, my very favorite vacation destination, and it was SO fun to be there with family, and it was SO fun to watch Spencer and his cousin Sam experience "The Happiest Place on Earth" together. Spencer always tells us that Sam is his best friend...AWWW! We had 2 great days there. It was not too crowded, and the weather was beautiful. We got to ride and see everything we wanted to, the kids were so sweet and well behaved, and we just loved every minute of it! Here are LOTS of pictures!!

The Group

Kyle and Alaina have some sort of obsession with jumping in pictures. Spence wanted to get in on the action...but he doesn't jump as high, so was back on the ground a lot sooner =).

4 out of 5 siblings...Laura, we MISSED you! (Can you tell our dad is a dentist? I think we all have pretty nice teeth =).)

Mary's hubby Ben, and cute little Jane!

Dancin' on Main Street...sorry we don't have your face in this one Ben...but it looks like you sure can cut a rug!

Alaina, a Disneyland expert, was prepared with ponchos so we could ride Splash Mountain at night, and not freeze. There was no line, so we got to ride twice in a row without getting out of the boat! Woot!

I love these 2 crazy kids!

The Cute Cousins

Sweet Jane.

Ok, is this not the cutest pair?

Micky Ears! Expensive...but worth it =).

The Characters

The Rides

Ok, we didn't realize how fast and bumpy this "little kid" ride was gonna be...and we were laughing SO hard the whole time!

The...Crazies?

The End
I have decided that we should be having family reunions at Disneyland AT LEAST once a year! And Dave MUST come. And my mom, and dad, and Laura and her family. And then we'll go once a year with the Batemans too. Ok, it's settled. =)
