She did it! My little (but taller than me) sister graduated from BYU-Idaho with her Bachelor's degree in Illustration. Yeah, she's an artist, and she's awesome!
All the siblings were there in good old frigid Rexburg, Idaho for the ceremony and celebratory weekend. It was lots of fun to be together, and we're all so proud of Alaina!

Alaina and her boyfriend (ooh, la la), David, jumping for joy!

She had an art show at the Spori Building. Her focus is illustration for children. So for her final project she painted 10 pictures depicting other countries with the idea that they could be used in a children's book.

This is the one for the USA. If you want to see more of her work you can click on her blog "Alaina's Art" on my blog roll to the right =).

The Fam

Happy Grandpa with 2 squirley grandsons.

My mom and her mom, my grandma Allen, with some of the kids. I hadn't seen my grandma or the aunts and uncles and cousins that live in Idaho for 2 years! So it was high time.

Mary and her kids came and stayed with us for a couple of days before we drove up to Idaho together. It was SO fun, and Spencer and Sam are still best friend cousins. Here we are at Temple Square in Salt Lake.

We all drove up to Idaho together...good thing it was only 4 hours away, and good thing for portable DVD players!

Hooray! Thanks again for letting us stay with you, we miss you already!
That is SOOOO AWESOME!! Don't you just love being with the fam? Everyone is so grown up. Please pass along a big "well done, and congratulations" to Alaina!! And her boyfriend is very cute! You'll have to ask David about the time I was babysitting him and how he somehow got up on top of their roof. I'm still trying to figure out how he did it. That was on the pool side of their house too. Yikes. :-)
